9 great ways to detox

There are more than 84,000 chemicals registered for use in the United States, and surprisingly, only about 200 of those toxins have actually been assessed for safety.

Why? Well one reason may be that the U.S. federal regulations haven’t been updated since 1976.

Some of them (many, in fact) are IN your food. Some are ON your food – and some (Hang on this one is a shocker!) Are in the WRAPPERS of your food!

Wait – what?

It’s true… fast food wrappers and non-stick cookware are treated with PFAs for their non-stick qualities. What the heck is a PFA anyway?

Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are a group of man-made chemicals that includes PFOA, PFOS, GenX, and many other chemicals. PFAS have been manufactured and used in a variety of industries around the globe, including in the United States since the 1940s. PFOA and PFOS have been the most extensively produced and studied of these chemicals. Both chemicals are very persistent in the environment and in the human body – meaning they don’t break down and they can accumulate over time. There is evidence that exposure to PFAS can lead to adverse human health effects. (Read more about PFA’s at https://www.epa.gov/pfas/basic-information-pfas)

According to this information, PFA’s happen to be one of the most UNREGULATED contaminants around, meaning – are not even testing for them.

The worst part is…. You probably already have them in your blood….

The truth is toxins are everywhere. It’s no secret that we live in a toxic world. How do you detox when the poisons are in our air, in and on our food, our water, our soil, and even the wrappers they wrap our food IN!

And while we don’t know much about all these toxins  (many haven’t been tested), we do know low-level toxin exposure can lead to:

  • Fatigue
  • Sleep issues
  • Microbial overgrowth
  • Autoimmune disease
  • Gut issues
  • And more

#detox is important!

And when it comes to protecting yourself from environmental toxins, you can’t rely on government agencies to protect you. You have to educate yourself and be your own best advocate.

But how to detox?

Here are 9 ways you can get toxins OUT and put less toxins in.

Some of these will seem like complete no brainers – and some might surprise you. You can decide.

  1. #getyourwaterright

Your body is 75% water – and you can either HAVE a filter or BE the filter. Or better yet, IONIZE your water – this will help your body hydrate better creating a less-than-friendly environment for disease to take hold.

Water is the transport system for all waste (and oxygen, and nutrients, and and and…) so having energized, ionized, restructured water that hydrates better can only help transport the toxins out of your cells. WE believe Kangen is the best of the best and have hundreds of clients that agree. Don’t believe us? Try it free!

2. #drinkactivatedcharcoal.

Activated charcoal is a safe and effective way to remove toxins gently and safely from your system. It binds with them and helps escort them harmlessly out. Superheating natural sources of carbon, such as wood, produces activated charcoal. The black powder stops toxins from being absorbed in the stomach by binding to them. The body is unable to absorb charcoal, and so the toxins that bind to the charcoal leave the body in the feces.

It can be used for everything from kidney health to skin health, and has been used for drug overdoses for decades safely and effectively. This is a great article that explains it in better detail. https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/322609

3. #getoffyourbutt

Exercise is a great way to detox, as toxins are released into your sweat and passed out of your system. Don’t forget to HYDRATE WELL when exercising! Did you know your body loses 3 quarts of water PER DAY during normal bodily functions? If you are exercising, you should drink MORE. But exercise we must – it speeds circulation as well and helps the veins stay open and in top working order, helps digestion and boosts overall wellness. What’s the best form of exercise? THE ONE YOU LIKE!

4. #goorganic

Buying organic food is of course more expensive, but it’s also more nutritious, so better for you, your family AND the environment.

Why are they more nutritious?

It’s the difference between a candy bar and a 4 course meal. For the plant, I mean. With chemical fertilizers, plants are given quick-grow chemicals so that they harvest quickly and give more yield. They are also genetically modified to be resistant to certain pests and pesticides – which may or may not “register” to your body’s own intelligence system as safe. Think about it – since the introduction of GMO diseases have increased at an alarming rate. This simply can’t be a coincidence….

Organic fertilizers, on the other hand are actual plant matter that has been broken down by microbes and bacteria that ACTUALLY feed the plant, giving an organic plant about three times more nutritional value than it’s inorganic neighbor. So while organic food is a little more expensive,

5. #Gethebadstuffout

Regular system detox is not as horrible as it seems.

Thie first way I like to detox (because it’s passive ad feels wonderful!) is with infrared sauna.

An infrared sauna

We recently did a 30 whole body detox using Purium Superfoods that involved removing meat, dairy, sugar, grains glyphosates and atrazine. (https://ishoppurium.com/pages/lifestyle-transformation – ask for your $100 off discount coupon with JustAddWater)

You can do simple cleanses with one organ or system at a time. It’s important to clear the passage ways if you are going to do this – So ALWAYS start with a colon cleanse. (The Kangen Water system is a great tool for this – but I would also add in some gentle cleansing herbs like Formulae #1 & 2 by Dr. Schultz. (https://www.herbdoc.com/detox) !) Also, Coffee enemas are a great way to get the lead out – but best to ask your Dr before doing anything drastic.

6. #eatyourgreens

Leafy greens and veggies are not only alkaline but also act as a “broom” to sweep out debris. It’s no secret that most people have a certain amount of constipation due to poor diet (processed food) a sedentary lifestyle, dehydration and lack of proper bowel evacuation.

When putting food on your plate, try to think of the 80/20 rule: 80% of the plate should be veggies (preferably raw)

7. #enzymes

My favorite enzymes are made by a company called Core Health.

We are given a set amount of enzymes to utilize for digestion – and with our first world diet usually burn through them in the first decade of life. Now what? Undigested protein is one of THE leading causes of cancer and dis-ease, so supplementing with enzymes to help the digestive process is MADATORY. (As Mandatory for good health as Kangen Water in my humble opinion!)

8. #lymphcleanse

The lymphatic system is unique in that it does not have a pump – like your lungs. It MUST be manually manipulated.

Jumping on a trampoline, massage, whole body vibe and tapping are all great ways of moving these toxins out of your body.

9. #nomoreplastic

The obvious answer to reducing the amount of plastic and exposure to PFAS is to not buy things wrapped in plastic. Have you noticed that all the produce is wrapped in this garbage? Try shopping at local markets, farmers markets, Imperfect foods, or join our azure Standard food co-op to help reduce the plastic on your fruits and veggies. Also, buy in bulk, and bring your own ziplocks or containers that you will be storing your food in (Don’t forget to use the TARE option) so you’re not swapping out one plastic for another.

Also, GET OFF THE BOTTLE. I get it, for some people, buying a Kangen Water system seems like a huge investment, but it will repolace all that bottle water AND it will replace many of your household chemical cleaners (all of which come in plastic)

As always, consult your physician before beginning a new regime, and whatever you do to cleanse, stay hydrated my friends!

What we do know is that knowledge is power – or at least potential power. All we can do is our best to educate ourselves, and then take ACTION to the best of our abilities….

As they say… luck favors the prepared….
