Protocols for Various Skin Conditions

Your skin is your largest organ, with several vital functions.

One function is to provide a barrier between your internal cells and your environment to block exposure to potentially deadly toxic substances. Another function is as an elimination organ. Your body has several organs for filtering out unusable wastes and materials, but when they are over burdened, your body will find the next best avenue: Your skin.

This is why we often say that when you have a skin issue, you don’t really have a skin issue. You have a liver and kidney issue. That’s because these are your main eliminatory filters.

When your main avenues of elimination become clogged, the result is a breakout of acne, rashes, eczema or even infection. One common offender to the skin is something as simple as soap. In the same way that soap creates a film on your tub or shower, it creates a film on your skin. This film increases the rate of oxidation (or aging) in 2 ways:  First it creates an imbalance in the pH of the skin. The skin’s healthiest state is slightly acidic—pH 4-6. Soap is very alkaline. So just by washing with soap it can create an imbalance in the pH. Secondly, most soap contains chemicals & saponins – which break down oils and fats, causing them to become first emulsified and then hard. More often than not lye is the chemical used. Lye is very toxic to the skin and disrupts the normal pH. A healthier choice would be a soap free of sodium laurel or laureth sulfates, parabens and any petroleum products. Look for lotions and creams that do NOT contain parabens or petroleum products. These are known hormone disruptors.  Since your skin is a living organ, it needs to breathe, and anything you put on your skin is transported directly into your body!

ERW (Electronically Reduced Water) is an excellent choice for skin for many reasons.  Here are some specific protocols for skin issues:

Remember as with any ERW,  FRESH IS BEST

                                    Acne:

1. Rinse with pH 11.5 Strong Alkaline Water to remove excess oils from the skin

2. Cleanse with cleanser that is free of sodium laurel or laureth sulfates, parabens and any petroleum products. Rinse with Beauty Water (6.0) & pat dry

3. With fine mister, spray pH 2.5 Strong Acidic Water on any active blemishes or broken skin and let dry. *Note: This water is non toxic and is safe for all uses. If you should get some in your eye, simply rinse with alkaline water.

4. Rebalance the skin’s pH with a final rinse or spray of Beauty Water (6.0). You may either splash the beauty water on your skin or place water in a bottle with a fine spray mister. Let air dry, or dab with a clean towel.

5. Repeat morning and bedtime

6. Spray multiple times per day with beauty water to keep skin hydrated

Eczema and Psoriasis:

Condition – Diaper Rash:

Diaper rash begins with urine and feces that are too acidic. To prevent diaper rash begin by making certain that your baby is properly hydrated with pH 8.5-9.5 Alkaline Drinking Water.

1. Cleanse with non-soap cleanser and pH 4-5 Mild Acidic Water & pat dry

2. Cleanse with a mild cleanser and Beauty Water (pH 6.0) and either air dry or pat dry. If possible, expose diaper area to sunshine as often as possible.

3. With fine mister, spray pH 2.5 Strong Acidic Water on any active blemishes or broken skin and let dry. You may also use a cotton ball or swab to apply this water.

4. Repeat after each diaper change.

It is a good idea to replace baby wipes with a container filled with soft cloths or unbleached paper towels and Mild Acidic Water.  (6.0) Use to cleanse diaper area each time you change your baby, pat dry and then apply a very fine mist to the skin. Air dry when possible. This will help keep the pH of the skin balanced.

SPECIAL NOTE ON ANTIPERSPIRANTS: Sweat is one of your body’s natural methods for ridding itself of toxins, so blocking that function can create serious repercussions  and blockages in your lymphatic system. Odors are simply bacteria thriving in dark, damp areas, and are worsened by having an acidic body. Drinking ERW (electronically reduced water) will, over time, help the body become less acidic, and therefore less “stinky” … HOWEVER, often, when one first begins to drink ERW, the body will detox and throw off waste resulting in a temporary worsening of body odors, both is sweat and other eliminations. Don’t worry. This natural side effect is short lived, and is a very healthy response.

To stop the odor of perspiration, simply mist or wash with pH 2.5 Strong Acid Water. If you tend to sweat a lot keep a small spray bottle in your purse or desk drawer for occasional touch ups throughout the day. You can also add a few drops of essential oils to your spray bottle for a refreshing scent. (note: not all essential oils are the same. Make sure you are using pure therapeutic grade essential oils and not a cheap brand full of chemicals.)

Below is chart that maps out facial blemishes that often correspond to other organs that may be affected by diet or deeper issues and or food allergies  that are showing up on the skin.

Regular consumption of freshly made, high quality Kangen Water

(AKA “ERW”  or  electronically reduced water) will help the body hydrate at the cellular level, rebalance pH levels, and eliminate toxins so that the body can do it’s job – heal itself.
